What appealed to my business with GCC is the amount of people that live here and the buying power that they have, but also the variety of people. When you come here you actually have some locals, but you also have all over the world living here so we can really appeal to a greater number of people.
The furniture and interior design industry in the GCC is, again, very booming. There's a lot of focus on culture, which is the main inspiration. Islamic design trends is a key kind of focus for designers. But I think it's very much about innovation and experimentation, and I see the designers from the GCC really harnessing this and trying to develop an experiment. I think it's become more playful.
